North Academy qualify for WESG EU & CIS Finals

North Academy have secured their place at the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals after defeating Tricked 2-0 (16-13 on Overpass, 16-5 on Cobblestone).

The first semi-final of WESG 2017 Denmark saw Tricked battle it out against North Academy following their victories over Odense and OPAA, respectively, in the quarter-final stage of the qualifier.

With the most kills (44), mertz was on fire throughout the series

The series began on North Academy's map pick, Overpass, with Daniel "⁠mertz⁠" Mertz and co. winning eleven rounds in a row as Terrorists after losing the first pistol and the following ecos. Down 11-4, Tricked still put up a fight by hitting their 13th-round on the board, but their opponents did not let them complete the comeback.

Despite Cobblestone being Tricked's map pick, there was little that Lucas "⁠Lukki⁠" Pilheden and his team could do to stop North Academy. Starting out as Counter-Terrorists, Nicklas "⁠gade⁠" Gade's squad got to half-time with a 12-3 lead, and, from that point, they easily locked down the map, 16-5, to secure their place at the European & CIS finals.
